Politics, Religion and Medicine in Kant

Dr. Daniel Omar Perez (danielomarperez@hotmail.com) Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Curitiba, Brasil).

Abstract

This article is an interpretation of Kant’s Conflict of the Faculties as a mature work where the philosopher put the transcendental philosophy into practice. We will explain the conflict between theology, law, medicine, and philosophy and show how it can be reduced to the question: how are the synthetic propositions possible? The answer will be formulated in logical and semantic terms.

Key words: Kant, religion, law, medicine, meaning.
